Sergentomyia africana (Newstead, 1912)

This sandfly species is widely distributed in Africa and has been also recorded in western Asia. It may be common indoors in some areas (e.g. see Gebresilassie et al., 2015), and may carry trypanosome parasites (Nzelu et al., 2014).
