Rodolia cardinalis (predator) Mulsant - (cardinal ladybird or vedalia beetle)
This coccinellid was the first introduction of a natural enemy into the United States (against the Australian fluted scale, Icerya purchasi). It was subsequently also introduced against the same pest in other countries (e.g. in Italy in 1901).
