Rhodococcus fascians (Tilford 1936) Goodfellow 1984
This plant-pathogenic bacterium causes the 'leafy galls syndrome' on various herbaceous perennial plants. The infected plants loose their apical dominance and become bushy and stunted with multiple inflorescences and leaf deformations.
