Rhodnius robustus Larrousse, 1927
This species of kissing bug is found in South America. It can be naturally infected with Trypanosoma cruzi, the causative agent of the Chagas diseases, and is considered a possible vector of this disease. The bug lives in the crown of palm trees and can be also found in houses, possibly attracted by lights.
