Rhipicephalus pulchellus (Gerstaecker, 1873) - (zebra tick)
This tick is found in eastern Africa and bites domestic animals, wild mammals and occasionally humans. Adults are medium-sized. In females the whole scutum has a uniform cream colour while males have a pattern of dark brown on a cream coloured background.
