Rhipicephalus annulatus (Say) - (cattle tick)

The tick is an important parasite of cattle in tropical and subtropical regions, transmitting diseases like Babesia bigemina, Babesia bovis and Anaplasma marginale. It may also bite humans. R. annulatus is closely related to Rhipicephalus microplus.
