Reticulitermes chinensis Snyder, 1923

This termite infests wooden structures and forest trees in China. It has been also recorded from India. The moisture level of infested timber may be low (Li et al., 1996). Nests are build in the soil and in the xylem of living old trees. R. chinensis is closely related to Reticulitermes flavipes and both species might hybridise (Jia Wu et al., 2020).
