Puccinia heliconiae (Dietel) Arthur 1918

This fungus causes a rust disease on Heliconia. It has been reported from tropical parts of South and Central America as well as from Papua New Guinea (Pacific). It forms brownish uredinia and spherical urediniospores, about 25 µm in diameter.
