Pseudomonas viridiflava (Burkholder 1930) Dowson 1939

This bacterium is widely distributed and infects many plants, causing blight diseases (e.g. tomato, apple, celery, kiwi, alfalfa), canker (apricot, plum), leaf spot/blotch/streak diseases (cabbage, canola, cucumber, garlic), or rots (broccoli, carrots, onions).

P. viridiflava can also live as epiphyte, endophyte, or saprophyte. Taxonomically, the bacterium is closely related to Pseudomonas syringae.
