Protozoan diseases (of beneficial insects)

This groups includes various genera and species of "protozoa" which infect beneficial insects. The term "protozoa" is no longer used by taxonomists but is kept here for convenience to group several unicellular infectious organisms. See the discussion page for the protozoa for more information. Taxonomic details are given in the description of the genera or individual species listed below.

Note:
The group Microsporidia which used to be also grouped under "protozoans" is listed separately.
