Polygonum aviculare (weed) L. - (prostrate knotweed)

Prostrate knotweed is widely distributed in temperate regions and an important weed in various crops like cereals. It is also often regarded as an environmental weed or a pasture problem. P. aviculare germinates early and often grows along the ground, forming thick mats.
