Candidatus Phytoplasma fragariae Valiunas et al. (2006) - (strawberry yellows phytoplasma)
This phytoplasma is associated with the strawberry yellows disease which has been described from Lithuania (Valiunas et al., 2006). The symptoms include general stunting and yellowing of the leaves. It has been assigned to subgroup E of the 16SrXII phytoplasma group. A closely related phytoplasma has been found in China on potatoes, showing stunting, yellowing and malformations.
