Phyla nodiflora (weed) (L.) Greene - (mat lippia)
This mat-forming herb is widespread in tropical regions around the world. It is regarded as invasive and weedy in some areas and islands where it can form dense mats. It grows often near rivers or in disturbed habitats like roadsides. The plant has long creeping stems, thick, leathery and finely serrated leaves, as well as whitish flowers with a purple centre.
