Phlebotomus kazeruni Theodor and Masghali, 1964
This sandfly is found in dry areas of northern Africa and parts of western Asia. It is suspected to be a vector of cutaneous leishmaniasis caused by Leishmania major. It can be also naturally infected with Trypanosoma species (Kato et al., 2010).
