Phlebotomus bergeroti Parrot, 1934
This species of sandfly is found in northern and eastern Africa, as well as in western Asia. It is considered to be a vector of Leishmania major and sandfly fever viruses. Morphologically, it is similar to Phlebotomus papatasi, see Benallal et al., 2022 for distinguishing characters between these two species.
