Pestalotiopsis biciliata Maharachch., K.D. Hyde & Crous 2014

This fungus is widely distributed in Europe. It has been isolated from different plants and substrates, including eucalypt trees, grapevines, bark and dry needles. Inoculation of eucalypt leaves causes disease symptoms (Morales-Rodríguez et al., 2019).

The conidia are spindle-shaped, usually with 3 long apical appendages and 2 shorter basal ones (as reflected in the species names). For a detailed description see Maharachchikumbura et al. (2014).
