Pepper golden mosaic virus (PepGMV)
The virus is found in North and Central America and infects crops like tomato, pepper and tomatillo (Physalis ixocarpa). The symptoms include bright yellow leaf mosaic, leaf curling, stunting and deformation of the young leaves and fruits. The yield is significantly reduced. The DNA genome encodes six proteins.
