Parapallidocercospora (genus) Videira, Crous, U. Braun, C. Nakash. 2017
This genus contains several plant pathogenic fungi that cause leaf spot diseases on trees in tropical regions. For example, Parapallidocercospora colombiensis infects Eucalyptus trees in Colombia. The conidia are formed singly and are light brown, septate and tapering towards the base. The fungi of this genus resemble those of the genus Pseudocercospora and both genera can only be distinguished by DNA analysis (Videira et al., 2017).
