Paracoccus Ezzat & McConnell, 1956

This genus of mealybugs is widely distributed and contains more than 50 species. Several of them are considered agricultural pests like the papaya mealybug, Paracoccus marginatus, which is native to Central America and invasive in various other regions. Characteristics of the genus include, among others, the presences of anal lobe bars and oral rim tubular ducts.
