Paracoccus burnerae (Brain) - (oleander mealybug)
The original distribution of this mealybug is believed to be southern and eastern Africa where it has been reported as a pest of citrus. It has been also found in parts of Asia, northern Africa and was intercepted, mainly on citrus fruits, in North America and Europe. The species is polyphagous and especially common on citrus and oleander. In South Africa, it goes through 4 generations per year.
