Comparative efficacy of Paecilomyces lilacinus and Talaromyces flavus on colonization of mungbean and soybean roots by Meloidogyne incognita and root infecting fungi
Pakistan Journal of Nematology 23 (1), 73-80
Abstract: Soil amendment with rice grain inocula of Paecilomyces lilacinus and Talaromyces flavus showed a significant suppression in colonization of mungbean and soybean roots by Macrophomina phaseolina, Rhizoctonia solani and Fusarium solani. Paecilomyces lilacinus also showed a reduction in Root Knot Index (RKI) whereas T. flavus was ineffective. A combined application of both the biocontrol agents gave additive effects against M. phaseolina and R. solani but not against F. solani and M. incognita.
