Ovatus insitus (F. Walker, 1849)
This aphid is found in Europe and temperate parts of Asia. In Europe, it has been mainly reported from its primary host plants, hawthorn (Crataegus), quince (Cydonia oblonga) and apple. The secondary host plant is Lycopus europaeus. Morphologically and in colouration it is similar to the mint aphid, Ovatus crataegarius.
