Ovatus van der Goot, 1913

This is a small genus of aphids which are mainly found in Europe and North America. Three species are holocyclic with the primary hosts being hawthorn, apple or related species like quince. The wingless forms are greenish and have a small to medium size with long siphunculi and long antennae. The mint aphid, Ovatus crataegarius, is economically important.
