Neofusicoccum batangarum Begoude, Jol. Roux & Slippers 2013
This fungus has been mainly reported from the Americas, but is also found in Africa and southern Europe. It causes brown spot, dieback and canker diseases on several plants. For example, it causes a serious canker disease on the prickly pear cactus Opuntia ficus-indica in Sicily, Italy.
