Microdochium sorghi (D.C. Bain & Edgerton ex Deighton) U. Braun 1995 - (zonate leaf spot of sorghum)
This fungus infects sorghum and grasses, causing zonate leaf spot. The lesions are purple-red or dark brown, typically circular with 4-6 clear rings. The conidia are needle shaped, often slightly curved and around 80-120 x 2-3 µm in size.
