Meccus mazzottii (Usinger 1941)

This triatomine is found in Mexico where it is a vector of the Chagas disease. It has 5 nymphal stages and the development from egg to adult lasts around 5 months under laboratory conditions. During this time it will take around 15 bloodmeals.
