Malvastrum americanum (weed) (L.) Torr. - (Indian Valley false mallow, spiked malvastrum)

This plant is native to tropical and subtropical parts of the Americas (Kew Science). However, to has been introduced into other regions like Australia where it is now widely distributed and suppresses native flora. The plants grow up to a height of 0.6 to 1 m and have deep roots. The seeds are dispersed by animals, birds and vehicles.
