Macrolophus costalis (predator) Fieber, 1858

This mirid bug is found in different parts of Europe. It feeds on aphids, whiteflies and thrips, and is regarded as a beneficial predator in crops and greenhouses. However, it is also phytophagous and can survive and even complete its development on plants in the absence of prey (Margaritopoulos et al., 2003).
