Johnsongrass mosaic virus (JGMV)
This virus is found in various regions. Apart from the weed Johnsongrass (Sorghum halepense) and other grasses, it infects maize and sorghum in some regions like Australia and the Americas. It causes mosaic symptoms and severe yield losses. The virus is transmitted by several aphid species in a non-persistent manner.
