Hylurgops LeConte, 1876

This genus of bark beetles includes around 20 species and is found in the northern hemisphere. They breed in the phloem of conifer trees, mainly fallen or dying trees and often preferring spruce trees. Hylurgops palliatus has been introduced from Europe into North America.
