Holotrichia Hope,

The genus of cockchafers contains around 150 species which are mainly found in tropical and subtropical parts of Asia and Australia. The adults feed on leaves and the whitegrubs on roots. Some species are regarded as pests of agricultural crops and forest trees. For example Holotrichia parallela is a pest of groundnuts and other crops in eastern Asia.
