Heterodera fici Kirjanova, 1954 - (fig cyst nematode)

This nematode is widely distributed and infests fig trees (Ficus). Heavy infestation can result in stunting and yellowing of the leaves. It is similar to Heterodera schachtii, H. glycines, and H. cajani, but differs mainly in the morphology of the cysts (small, scattered bullae and a weakly developed underbridge).
