Heterodera australis Subbotin, Sturhan, Rumpenhorst & Moens, 2002 - (Australian cereal cyst nematode)
This cyst nematode is found in Australia and in some areas of eastern Asia. It is part of the "cereal cyst nematode" complex which includes Heterodera avenae and other species. Like H. avenae, H. australis has elongated lemon-shaped cysts, but differs in its DNA structure (Subbotin et al., 2002).
