Heliotropium europaeum (weed) L. - (European heliotrope)
This plant is native to Europe, parts of Africa and parts of Asia. It is an agricultural weed in Europe and Asia and toxic to livestock. H. europaeum has been introduced into Australia and North America. It has become a problem weed in grasslands in Australia but is still uncommon in North America, although it has established there since the early 1800s. The plant can grow to a height of up to 50 cm and has hairy leaves as well as a well-developed taproot.
