Gryon Haliday, 1833
The species of this genus of egg parasitoids breed mainly in Hemiptera. The genus is morphologically closely related to the genus Hadronotus and both genera are mainly distinguishable by their DNA structure, see Talamas et al. (2021) for a taxonomic review of both genera. During this review/revision, several species have been re-assigned from Gryon to Hadronotus, including a number of important biological control agents of pest Hemiptera like Hadronotus_pennsylvanicus (syn. Gryon pennsylvanicum).
Type species: Gryon misellum
