Gratiana spadicea (weed bioagent) (Klug, 1829)

This leaf beetle is native to South America and has been released into South Africa against the weed Solanum sisymbriifolium. Although it feeds on a few other Solanum species in the laboratory, it has so far been collected exclusively form S. sisymbriifolium in the field.
