Faba bean necrotic yellows virus (FBNYV)

This virus is found in western Asia, northern Africa and southern Europe. It is persistently transmitted by aphids, e.g. Aphis craccivora, and infects several food and fodder legumes like broad bean, chickpea or lentil. The particles are small and isometric, 18 nm in diameter, and the genome consists of several circular ssDNA strands.
