Euroglyphus maynei (Cooreman)
This species of dust mites is found in houses on stored food of Europe, different parts of America, Africa, Asia and Australia. It is not as common as the species Dermatophagoides farinae or Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus and usually occurs together with these. E. maynei can also cause allergies and persons having acquired an allergy against the Dermatophagoides species (positive skin test) are also allergic against E. maynei.
