Erwinia psidii Neto et al., 1988 - (guava tree blight)

The bacterium causes bacterial blight and dieback of guava trees. In South America it has also emerged as a serious wilt disease of Eucalyptus spp. Twigs and branches become infected and wilt and the bacterium apparently spreads via symptomless planting materials.
