Erwinia piriflorinigrans López et al., 2011
This bacterium has been described as causing necrosis of pear blossoms in Spain. The symptoms on the blossoms are similar to those caused by the fire blight pathogen, Erwinia amylovora. Howerver unlike E. amylovora, E. piriflorinigrans does not affect other parts of the tree like the leaves.
