Elsinoë phaseoli Jenkins 1933 - (bean scab)
This fungus causes bean scab in tropical parts of Latin America, Africa and India. Phaseolus beans as well as cowpea (Vigna) can become infected. The symptoms include roundish, sometimes corky lesions on the upper leaf surface as well as the stems and pods with a whitish to grey coloration.
