Echinothrips Moulton, 1911

This thrips genus is found mainly in Europe and North America and contains several species damaging crops, e.g. Echinothrips americanus. The genus can be recognized by several morphological features like the form of the bristles on the forewing veins and the heavy reticulation on the body surface.
