Exserohilum monoceras (Drechsler 1923) K.J. Leonard & Suggs 1974
This fungus infects grasses and infections can result in leaf blight. It has been frequently reported from the weed barnyardgrass (Echinochloa crus-galli) and other Echinochloa species. However, there are also reports of infections on sugarcane. In Japan, E. monoceras has been developed as a mycoherbicide against barnyardgrass (e.g. see Hirase et al., 2006).
