Cyrtogaster vulgaris (parasitoid) Walker, 1833
This wasp is widely distributed in Europe, surrounding regions and in North America. It is a pupal parasitoid of leaf miners, e.g. species of Liriomyza or Phytomyza. It has been also described as a facultative hyperparasitoid. In populations of the Scandinavian cereal leaf miner Chromatomyia fuscula, the female parasitoids mate in autumn, overwinter and become active early in the season (Hagvar et al., 2000).
