Cuscuta chinensis (weed) Lam. - (Chinese dodder)

This parasitic plant is found in tropical and subtropical parts Asia. It has been also reported from other regions. A variety of plant species have been reported as hosts, including crops like vegetables or soybean. It can cause significant crop losses (e.g. see Marambe et al., 2002).
