Coniferophyta (weeds)

The conifers are evergreen trees and shrubs, many of which are valuable forest trees like the pines, cedars, hemlocks, firs and spruces. They have needles or scale-like leaves and produce cones instead of fruits. Several species are invasive and have become important weeds replacing native vegetation.
