Cirrospilus pictus (parasitoid) (Nees, 1834)
This wasp is widely distributed and mainly an ectoparasitoid of leafminer larvae like Phyllocnistis citrella. In the 1930s, it has been also introduced into Canada against the larch casebearer, Coleophora laricella (Bartlett et al., 1978). The development time from egg to adult lasts around 3 weeks (Lo Pinto, 2005).
