Brassica napus (weed) L. - (volunteer rape)

Plantings of Brassica napus (oilseed rape, canola) may cause weed problems after crop rotation because the seeds can persist for several years in the soil. This problem can occur for example if the new crop is wheat, maize or beet, in particular if the volunteer rape is herbicide resistant and if it has escaped cultivation and is growing wild (Nakajima et al., 2020).
