Brachycaudus rumexicolens (Patch, 1917)
This aphid is widely distributed and transmits Cucumber mosaic virus to lupins. It has been also reported to colonize weeds from the genera Rumex (it is also called dock aphid) and Emex and has been considered as a possible biological control agent of such weeds in Australia, where it has been recorded since 1985 (e.g. Scott & Shivas, 1998).
