Bemisia tabaci biotype Sub Saharan Africa 1 - (African cassava whitefly)

This biotype of Bemisia tabaci is found in southern and eastern Africa. It seems to have a preference for cassava (Kalyebi et al., 2018), but is not the only biotype found on cassava. It is a vector of the cassava mosaic disease and the cassava brown streak disease.
